Except in the cases of holy days, and natural disasters when clergy tend to the spiritual wants of the grieving, the media generally leans towards a dim view of religion. Whether it happens to be Muslims engaged in terrorist acts, or Christians lobbying for Intelligent Design theory in the classroom, with even the relatively sacrosanct Jews coming under criticism as oppressors of the Palestinians. |

Debates about homosexuality's conflict with Christianity are reducible to God's immutable laws vs. man's laws. To put it simply, Christians believe that it is a sinful act that leads to damnation, although there are others who consider it to be natural and permissible. Good Christians try to obey God's laws because they have faith in him and faith, which has little to do with reason, can never be proven wrong. |
