As you've all probably noticed, I have not written much for the site in the last month, as I am deeply enmeshed in writing a film script which still has a rather open-ended completion date. So I thought it would be nice if in the interim we avail ourselves of the many entertaining, stimulating, or absolutely crazy youtube videos available. In order to display a video on the site, all you have to do is look for the "Embed" field, under URL, on the right hand side of any youtube video page, and then copy and paste that code into an article. There are only two rules to follow, 1. Write a sentence or more introducing the video, or your reasoning for showing it, and 2. Always click the "Split Summary at Cursor" button, which splits the text editing field into two sections, write your introduction in the top section, and paste the youtube html code in the bottom section. This ensures that the video itself doesn't appear on the front page. Here is an hilarious video to get started, a little old now, but one of my all time favourites, the Final Fantasy petition guy. |

suggestion
could you shoot tests of your film and post them on youtube?
In theory yes
A 3k resolution video would be rather poorly served by youtube, even on the alleged high resolution setting. It would probably be better to upload an mkv file to rapidshare.
As I write it is only another 48 hours before the final specs will be announced for my much coveted camera.
