Ok, my first posting this year... As you all know, I broke my leg, and in the time I was unable to access the site via my main computer spam flourished like weeds. I deleted the spam and fake registrations as I got the chance, and updated various scripts, but the problem was never quite under control again. So for the moment I have disabled user self-registration so that will end that problem for good. In the meantime if anyone wants a new account on the site, just contact me in the channel and I'll do it manually. |

The matter of PrometheanStardust's ban was referred to me by Tigger_ as the highest arbitrator of #politicaldebate. Though I prefer not to intervene in disputes pertaining to channel administration, I do not take my responsibilities as channel owner lightly. It is with regret that I must exercise my authority to settle this drawn-out and ugly dispute. I hereby present my views on the disciplinary action taken by SoleilMoonFrye against PrometheanStardust: 1. Channel operators have a responsibility to safeguard the free communication of ideas and opinions in #politicaldebate. |

Hash found this on 4chan:
The only clue as to who did it is the mirc tab at the bottom of the screen. |

Marttin's greeting: #politicaldebate has now gone international, so henceforth must always be referred to as "The World-Famous #politicaldebate"

Introducing the new site feature, the #politicaldebate Game Arcade, where flash games on the site can be played by members and top scores recorded for the best player. There are only a dozen or so games there now, if the feature is popular more will be added over time. |

After having delivered my report for the Royal Commission Into the Channel Meet Failure, which upon the evidence at hand at the time, found in favour of PrometheanStardust. However new evidence in the form of a startling confession has now overturned the original findings. |

Previously the user avatars were limited to a 50x50 pixels size, as much larger and they would break out of the template in various ways to very ugly effect. But this has now been fixed after a lot of messing around with the site's CSS, so that avatars can now be up to 100x100 pixels. This is much, much nicer, with the comments section modified to display this to beautiful effect. So to update your avatar, just select "My account" in the main menu, and the "Edit" button on your Profile Page. This joins the many other subtle improvements to the site, which hopefully you notice. |

This is a bit late I know, but better late than never. November was a bit of a return to earth, with 77,000 lines of chat, so more in line with September. Warren's psychiatrist would probably know the reason for this.

If you so desire, you can use your user profile page to list things about yourself you don't mind being publicly known. A bit like myspace only in a much less ugly format. |
