As a kid I had a cat that hated Christmas because of all the people that would come over, so after the third or fourth year he'd disappear early in the morning, before anyone even arrived, then return late after they'd gone home. It appeared that he knew what the date was, but I didn't think to take note if he got leap years wrong or not.
