The b1rd is now 9 days sober! The worst of the withdrawal is over with, now all that needs to be done is to resist temptation. The b1rd would ask that nobody in channel mention alcohol ever again except if they want to attack Australias culture of alcoholism. Cheers, B1rd.

As I have been absent for a fair chunk of the week I must say I am shocked to hear b1rd has given up one of his favourite hobbies.
I do recall the b1rd giving up alcohol for around a week last year, perhaps this is a yearly 7-10 day sabbatical from the most brilliant beverage man has ever created.
Althought tigger's response has left this thread feeling a little awkward I shall soldier on and hope that b1rd doesn't get furious when Megamanga and I discuss homebrew details and techniques in the channel.

What deeper issues?
There are no deeper psychological issues, except the clear-sighted awareness of how vile the world and most people in it are. For 'sane' people this is never an issue, because they are the ones who make the world this way, and revel in their monstrous wickedness. Craziness and alcoholism are simply the result of not being free to create a secret world for yourself that they have no idea about.
