The progressive is always at pains to insist that 1. the future will be better than the present, and 2. the present is much better than the past. Typically progressives utter such culumnies that people in the Middle Ages believed the world was flat, and that it was even mandated by Papal Decree. But not to worry, the people of the Middle Ages will have their poetic justice when a future progressive will insist that we were all ardent believers in Time Cube.
